Welcome to the "Whiskey Shack" bring your family, friends even your dog. We want and hope that you enjoy your stay! Rick & Sheila Reinarz began building their dream "cabin" 5 years ago, as a home away from home! The Whiskey Shack is truly both an inspiring hobby and a very unique vacation cabin in the woods. You are surround by the beauty of Northern Minnesota. 

The wildlife pond near the cabin is home to many geese and ducks. It is a watering spot for the abundant wildlife in the area, you will be able to enjoy watching the animals come in to graze and drink. 

One of the first things you will notice on your drive in, is that Rick also brought the mountains to northern Minnesota. These granite rock piles grace the driveway and give you a glimpse of how unique this private rental cabin is along with the astonishing amount of hard work and dedication that has gone into the making of this home and how amazing both Rick and Shelia are! 

As usual Rick wants your stay at the Whiskey Shack to be so unique that it leaves you in awe of your surroundings!!

Rick actually created a hand built stone lined  double waterfall right in the front yard of the Whiskey Shack. Here you can sit back and listen to the enchanting relaxing sounds of running water in the middle of the Northwood's!

So whether you are looking to relax with the family and friends, enjoy 300 acres of privately owned land, just decide what you would like to do. We have miles of groomed and mowed Nature Walking Trails there is a tremendous variety of songbirds in addition to loons, bald eagles, osprey, beaver and otter live in the area.

Bring along your ATV or your horse and ride. There are several  lakes in the area so if you want to challenge that monster Walleye, Northern Pike or Crappie, as well as Jumbo Sunny's, Perch & Bluegills. Just let us know what type of fishing you are looking to do and we'll try to point you in the right direction. Exceptional hunting for deer, grouse, goose, duck, and waterfowl. We also offer a Full Hunting Guide Service for deer, and ruffled grouse. 

Here are just two of the Big Bucks that owner Rick shot on his land that both made it into the Boone and Crockett record books!

We are open year round and you can stay for the night if you are just passing through the area. Or come stay for the weekend or the week! Your host are waiting to hear from you!
